My childhood Summers where British ones. I lived 2 blocks away from the seaside and it was the best childhood place to grow up in ever - why? Because it was and will be forever magical.
The British seaside conjures up nostalgic memories and today I'm still attracted to it's simple candy coloured charm with all the vintage trimmings you can through a stick of rock at.
The essence of seaside charm can be found in classic nautical, vintage/retro 50's style diner cafes and shabby chic rustic cottage furnishings - a mixture that creates an utterly charming combination that stands the test of time.
It's fun, it's happy, so lets get back to the 99's, multi coloured candy rock, kiss me quick hats, beach huts, buckets & spades and of course, a deck chair or two to sit and gaze out towards the sparkling summer sea on a balmy English Summer's day.
