Think Pink

Pantone has recently announced its predicted colour for 2011.

Pink is the feel good colour of the spectrum, it relaxes and cheers people up. What a nice way to enter 2011. This particular tinted pink is mid-tone due to the amount of white in it. Its soft and rounded yet still grabs your attention.

My ode to this colour is the spectacular frangipani flower, whose varieties sing out with all the honeysuckle pink you could wish for.

Jamaican Gem

I just love the crisp freshness of the decor at Round Hill hotel, Jamaica.

The bright cobalt blue and hot pink are sensational together, set against dazzling white and beautiful deep dark timbers. The mix of traditional with contemporary really works here and the overall look is simple but very striking.

Island Style Treasure Boxes

Not only do shells make beautiful displays, they also make beautifiul vessels to display your trinklets and prescious items in. Team these items with a touch of vintage and voila gorgeous displays in seconds.

Giant clam shells and abalone shells make fantastic display bowls, and starfish, pointed shells and even driftwood make beautiful ring holders. All you need is a little inspiration (see below) a little imagination (see what you have to hand) and mix together to create a beautiful display.
