Hammock Time

Hammocks where made for lazy Sunday living...

Who can resist the laid back gentle sway of a hammock, gently cocooning you as you gaze out to sea?

I think Hammocks are the quintessential accessory for any beach abode, whether you're chillin, reading a book or just having a nap.

This one's perfect for the beach house verandah.

I first saw these in Tahiti, wonderful idea especially on a hot tropical evening. The hammock is suspended on 2 posts attached onto the boardwalk right over the lagoon - heavenly.

Lazily romantic.

A modern take on the hammock or for those who have no posts or trees. Super stylish with canopy perfect for pool lounging.

So beachy & dreamy.

It's all about location, location, location!

Don't Sundays feel good.

The swinging pod chair is a modern take on the hammock, retro and playful in style.

Nothing like a hammock over sunset.

Take it easy my island lovelies and have a great Sunday.

Happy Island Styling.

Decorating Ninjas

There's something bugging me in the decorating world at the moment. I'm not sure where it came from and why its hanging around for so long.

I recently worked in an exclusive interiors showroom having to do this activity everyday - I may even have RSI doing it.

These cushions look as pointy as the sunburst mirrors.

You see, when oh when did some bright spark think I know I'll do some karate on the cushions then it'll look perfect. I know some love it, some have mixed feelings and some like me do not understand it.

These bunny ears or devils horns atop the cushions look quite frankly ridiculous and contrived. After smashing about 50 of these a day over the last few weeks I'm not sure if I qualify for a decorating black belt or a session locked away.

Either this decorator had a very bad day or got too excited smashing these cushions.

This is borderline, but still odd.

What are your thoughts, do you like to karate your cushions too or are you a straightener?
